Born in Cordoba (Spain) in 1992, Luis Casado was first in contact with music at the age of 8, when he studied classical guitar in his hometown briefly. After some years without playing music, he fell in love with the electric guitar at the age of 16.
After a short period studying in Cordoba and playing in blues bands, he moves to Sevilla (the capital city of Andalucia, South Spain) in 2010 to study with Fran Mazuelos. From that moment, his musical concept changes and takes dimensions totally unknown by him until then.
After playing in many different styles and with different bands, Luis gets interested in Jazz music, listening and playing the music of
Miles Davis, Sonny Rollins, Pat Metheny and George Benson, among others.
In 2016 Luis creates his own project, Luis Casado Trio, where he plays his original compositions. In this project, he works with different musicians, and he finally records his first album as a leader in 2019. The album is titled "Tiempo Presente" (Present Time) and feats Luis Casado on guitar, Joan Masana (who has worked with known artists like Jorge Pardo, Tino di Geraldo) on the double bass and Manu Pinzón (drummer from Planeta Jondo) on the drums. The album is edited by Spanish record label Blue Asteroid Records.
